Bike Maryland is devoted to improving the overall bikeability of Maryland by implementing the guidelines laid out by the League of American Bicyclists' Bicycle Friendly America (BFA) program. Working closely with businesses, universities, and communities throughout the state, we hope to make our state a more bicycle friendly place to live, work, and play. Become a Bicycle Friendly Business

The League of American Bicyclists is accepting applications for the Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) program, which recognizes employers for their innovative bike-friendly efforts and also provides resources for organizations to further enhance the environment for their employees who commute by bike. Click here to begin the process by registering your organization and completing the short, 20-minute application.

The Bicycle Friendly University (BFU)

The BFU program recognizes institutions of higher education for promoting and providing a more bicycle-friendly campus for students, staff and visitors. The BFU program provides the roadmap and technical assistance to create great campuses for cycling.

The Bicycle Friendly Community Program (BFC)

The BFC program provides incentives, hands-on assistance, and award recognition for communities that actively support bicycling. A Bicycle Friendly Community welcomes cyclists by providing safe accommodation for cycling and encouraging people to bike for transportation and recreation.
